The One Ring: The Nameless Fellowship
Lodin, Varr and Brand
Lodin and his two brothers, Varr and Brand, are merchants dealing largely in wines and spaces, operating out of Lake-town. All three were born and raised in Lake-town but have spent most of their life travelling and trading. They were on their way back from Gondor, carrying goods from that distant land. They had a caravan of three hardy ponies, laden with their trade goods (wines, spices, silk). This year they were returning to Lake-town for winter and to take advantage of the festivities of the first Gathering of Five Armies, and hired the Company as guides and escort, guards and companions for the journey through Mirkwood.
The brothers are well-travelled and well-spoken, having traded with Kings and their emissaries. They wear warm furs for travelling, with leather vests for protection. All carry long knives (daggers), but only Brand wields a sword. Lodin is tall and well-built, a hunter’s build. His younger brother, Brand, sports a hefty beard that makes him look like a Dwarf, while Varr is quiet and seldom speaks unless he has something to say.
